Robin Ince
I am a Senior ML & Neural Scientist at Atlas, where we are building a consumer-focused multi-modal brain sensing wearable to help people understand and improve their brain health and performance.
Previously, I was a Senior Data Scientist at Fab AI, contributing to the AI-for-Education initiative. My work here included developing benchmarks of large vision and language models focussed on educational applications.
Before this I was a Senior Research Scientist (Research Associate Professor) in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Glasgow, where I maintain an honorary affiliation. My PhD is in Computational Neuroscience and my research involves applying statistics, information theory and machine learning to data from electrophysiology, neuroimaging (EEG, MEG, fMRI) and behavioural experiments.
Bayesian Prevalence
Estimating the prevalence of effects in the population from experimental data
Gaussian-Copula Mutual Information (GCMI)
Efficient and robust estimation of mutual information from multivariate data
Partial Information Decomposition
Measures for decomposing multivariate information and entropy
AI for Education Benchmarks
Benchmarks of large vision and language models for educational applications
